Our Story
Built on Perseverance.
Refined by Detail.
"We design and engineer the woodworking challenges that require perseverance and attention to detail."
Iron Shore, Inc. was founded in February of 2000 by Gerry and Karen Cormier. Gerry has been working in and around woodwork for over forty-five years — developing first-hand experience interfacing with clients, drawing designs, and carrying each project's vision to fruition.
His body of work spans the country's most distinguished institutions: Harvard, Stanford, the JFK Presidential Library, Groton Hill Music School, the George Rockwell Museum, and Phillips Academy — alongside private residences on Cape Cod, the Yellowstone Country Club in Montana, and throughout greater New England.
Iron Shore works with architects and clients to design custom woodwork that is ergonomic, exceptional, and tailored to the end user. Where the design calls for it, we seamlessly integrate metal without compromising the aesthetic. From casework and running trim to signature custom features, we engineer shop drawings and coordinate full fabrication and installation.
